Prof. Ibiang Oden Ewa was a man of unwavering integrity, quiet strength, and deep wisdom. Born on the 31st of October, 1960, he lived a life marked by service, scholarship, and compassion. His life’s journey was one of diligence, grace, and a relentless pursuit of excellence—both in his professional endeavors and in his devotion to family.
A scholar to the core, Prof. Ewa was a respected academic and mentor whose contributions left a lasting impact on his field and on generations of students who sat under his tutelage. He carried his title not just with pride, but with responsibility—always eager to pour knowledge into others, to challenge mediocrity, and to lead with integrity.
Yet beyond the accolades and accomplishments, Prof. Ewa was first and foremost a family man. He was a loving and faithful husband to his dear wife, Mrs. Patricia Ibiang Ewa, and a deeply caring father and grandfather. He nurtured his children with wisdom and strength, and his legacy lives on through them:
